Remember the infamous cone bra Madonna used to sport in the 80’s? How can you forget that right? Well, it was sold for a whopping $72,000 at an auction this week. Clearly Madonna’s still got it! The custom made piece, created by Los Angeles based store Trashy Lingerie, was worn during her entire ‘Who’s That Girl’ world tour back in 1987. It went under the hammer in China and sold way above what they had originally estimated. The cone bra has actually been on display at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Ohio and The Frederick’s of Hollywood Museum in Los Angeles since Madonna wore it in ’87. Madonna’s stylist and costume designer Martha Stewart (no, not that Martha Stewart) handpicked that outfit that took things in music to a whole new level during her first world tour 24 years ago. Beyonce says her pregnancy has inspired her to do a maternity line.
The singer, who is expecting her first child with husband Jay-Z, told Harper’s Bazaar magazine that she’s working on a collection for her House of Dereon line.
“All I see now are clothes that are flattering on a pregnant woman,” she said in the interview. “It’s been so exciting for me! I love figuring out designs that still make me feel edgy and sexy while pregnant.”
“Flowy fabrics are always flattering,” she added, “but I still rock my stilettos.”
The singer also talked about revealing her pregnancy at the MTV Video Music Awards in August, calling it “the hardest red carpet I ever did.”
“I didn’t want a crazy picture or gossip story to break the news,” she said. “So I decided to say nothing and proudly show my baby bump. I felt it was more powerful to see the love and enthusiasm as opposed to saying anything.”
Beyonce recently told Australia’s “Sunday Night” news program that she’s due in February. That appearance also stirred speculation about her pregnancy – her dress appeared to fold in when she sat down on the show, leading some to question whether she was wearing a prosthetic baby bump while a surrogate carried her child. A rep for the singer told ABC News that the rumors are “stupid, ridiculous and fake.”
Beyonce appeared on Australia’s show “Sunday Night” this weekend and revealed that she and Jay-Z’s baby is due in February.
After all, she predicts/sings “I’m tryna make us 3 from that 2″ on “Countdown” (a track from her June album “4″) so it’s safe to assume these two were planning this for awhile.
“[It's] already has changed my life. I am ready, yes. My husband and I have been together for 10 years. All of my 20s. Since I was 20. And I just feel like it’s time. And I’m very grateful that God has blessed me with the biggest gift any human being can have. And I feel that because I’ve accomplished a lot of things for myself and I really know who I am, I didn’t rush into anything. And if it’s any time, right now is the time. And I’m so happy.”
This video teaser for Beyoncé’s single “Countdown”, off her ’4′ album, leaked online.
Beyonce released a sneak peek on MTV for her upcoming single ‘Countdown’. From the brief visual, you can see that she channels the legendary actress Audrey Hepburn (who she has cited as her beauty icon) in a colorful and fun concept. The mother-to-be also vividly shows off her baby bump.
According to Touch Weekly, the 31-year-old singer is pregnant with her first child with fiancé Eric Johnson.
Jessica is “already having kooky cravings!” a “friend” tells the magazine, claiming that she’s now enjoying nacho chips dipped in chocolate (“which satisfy her urge for salty and sweet”), cheese-flavored popcorn and non-alcoholic margaritas.
The news comes as no surprise since lately Simpson has been spotted wearing a lot of loose-fitting clothes.
In addition, reports say Jessica recently attended Eric’s 32nd birthday party, where she sent back her glass of champagne for a birthday toast.
As for her wedding plans, the singer has only revealed that she is still deciding on a dress and that she’s in no rush to tie the knot.
However, she did admit she’s ready to start a family with her beau.
“I definitely see myself having a family with Eric, so that’s exciting to think about,” she said.
Beyonce and her husband Jay-Zarrived to Hvar island, Croatia today (September 6).
After she celebrated her 30 birthday in Venice, Italy over the weekend with BFF Gwyneth Paltrow, the world-famous mom-to-be headed to the Croatian coast for a little R&R.
Accompanied by equally famous husband, Beyonce was spotted on the island of Hvar where they are supposed to spend part of their vacation enjoying all the comforts of Croatian sea and coasts.
She arrived to the port of Hvar on her yacht Odessa, accompanied by another sailboat, and after a stopover they went for a trip to nearby Palmizana.
Two years ago, Beyonce also spent a part of her summer holidays in Croatia, that time admiring the beauty of Dubrovnik.
Meanwhile, Jay has reportedly has been the doting dad-to-be ever since the spouses of three years discovered they were expecting. “He was even concerned about her performing in heels,” says a source, “but the doctor said it would be fine.”
