The luxury fashion brand introduces its first women’s fragrance with this artistic Bruce Weber film starring Nine D’Urso, daughter of Ines De La Fressange.
Bottega Veneta, the luxury leather manufacturer has unveiled their first fragrance, conceptualized by Thomas Maier, the creative director at Bottega in collaboration with Coty Prestige.
Maier explains his inspiration for the project as a mental picture of a “room with old wood floors, library walls and leather-bound books with the windows open wide, the breeze coming in and cut grass, hay, moss, garden flowers, growing through the room and everything mixing up”.
The result is an alluring blend of oak moss, Brazilian pink peppercorns, Indian jasmine sambac, Indian patchouli and Italian bergamot. All these special scents are captured in elegant bottles made by Murano glassmakers.
The perfume will only be found in one of the 165 Bottega Veneta boutiques around the world, at 395 $ (about 275 €) for 3 oz, along with other beauty products will be available together with the new fragrance are body lotions, body creams and shower gels.
For the ad campaign, Bottega Veneta chose the image of Nine d’Urso, the eldest daughter of Inés de la Fressange, the renowned French fashion icon. “I chose Nine to introduce this fragrance because there is something classically elegant about her, yet she is totally modern. She conveys a sense of heritage worn lightly but with respect”, Maier said. The pictures of young Nine for the fragrance campaign will be taken by Bruce Weber. On July 17 the first launch of the new fragrance will take place at Harrods.
This line of luxury organic perfumes, crafted by Honore des Pres master perfumer Olivia Giacobetti, is inspired by Manhattan. Each one is 100% natural, certified organic by Ecocert, and packaged in a paper coffee cup to fully evoke the feeling of being an on-the-go New Yorker.

The 37-year-old actress is delighted to be fronting the new advertising campaigns for the 19-year-old perfume – which will be joined by an eau de toilette version in August – because she has always associated it with femininity.
She explained: “I grew up with Angel. I remember thinking, as a child, ‘That’s what a woman smells like.’ I’m the baby in my family by 10 years, and my sisters wore it. It comes full circle now that I’d be the face of Angel.”
Eva was chosen to front the campaign because of her versatility.
Joel Palix, president of Clarins Fragrance Group and director general of the Mugler company, explained: “Eva can be demure one minute and sensual the next.”
The ‘Hitch’ actress also admitted she would consider releasing her own fragrance – but only if there was a good reason to do so.
She told WWD: “I’m Cuban, and it is a rite of passage to be doused in Les Violetas, a baby perfume, whether you like it or no.
“I tend to not jump into things right away, unless I have an emotional connection to it. People can really sense whether or not something is authentic. When you’re just slapping your name on something, it shows.”
Mariah Carey is set to launch an innovative new collection of perfumes all named after her hit tracks.

Kirsten Dunst has been named as the new face of Bulgari’s new women’s fragrance.
The ‘Marie Antoinette’ star will make a guest appearance at the launch of the Mon Jasmin Noir scent at a Mediterranean Eden themed party during Milan Fashion Week later this month.
In addition to launching the perfume, the party will also preview the Italian fashion house’s new collection of 2011-2012 accessories.
Kirsten, 28, is no stranger to the fashion world, having previously appeared as the face of fellow Italian range Miu Miu, although she was later dropped for French beauty Vanessa Paradis.
She initially replaced troubled actress Lindsay Lohan in the job. She has also appeared in campaigns for geek label Band Of Outsiders, sold at Joseph and London’s Dover Street Market.
Despite her beauty, Kristen is best known for her private life – she has previously dated Jake Gyllenhaal and British musician Johnny Borrell from Razorlight, and she was treated for depression in early 2008.

No details on what the juice will smell like — except for the obvious note of jasmine — but perhaps it will be a nod to the brand’s sensual scent Jasmin Noir ($25 to $68).

I normally separate my fragrances by season either summer or winter, and this is a winter fragrance for me. The scent is a strong rose and vanilla at first, but will mellow to jasmin with spice- the description says sandalwood and musk.
A little goes a long way, so the price for the fragrance makes it appealing as well.
I recommend this perfume if you like fragrances that have a bold floral (rose/jasmin) and vanilla/cinnamon (spice) top note with a floral/spice body which lasts well.

The scent is refreshingly mature, a much more sophisticated offering when compared to her previous scents, Halle and Pure Orchid.
The composition is sweet, soft, well-rounded. No sharp edges, but also no surprises. Although it smells quite unique.
But the staying power itself is good.
