In a statement issued Thursday, Longoria expressed admiration for Gaga and Perry by saying, “I can’t wait to see some fabulous performances and I absolutely love that the most nominated artists this year are two amazing women, who are making some of the most exciting music in pop right now.”
Longoria, who stated that she is “beyond excited” over earning the opportunity to host the annual event, addressed the news on her Twitter page, sharing with her followers, “Hola! So excited!
