Emma Watson, who plays Hermione Granger in the “Harry Potter” films, has reportedly been named the newest spokesmodel for Lancome.

The French cosmetics and skincare company reached a six-figure deal with the actress, the UK newspaper the Daily Mail reported, adding that Watson is set to be shot by celebrated fashion photographer Mario Testino next month and will be featured as the face of the brand in posters and TV advertising.

Watson has not spoken about or confirmed the deal. A Lancome spokesperson declined comment on the matter.

“It’s so exciting, I can’t wait to start shooting,” the Daily Mail quoted the 20-year-old actress as saying. “Although I don’t wear much makeup, I’m a big fan of Lancome products, especially their mascara.”

Others who have been featured in Lancome advertising campaigns include actress Julia Roberts.

Watson has modeled for fashion house Burberry before and has made bold style choices in the past. Last year, she showed off a new pixie haircut after filming the final two-part “Harry Potter” movie, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

The UK actress, who was born in France, was voted Best Dressed British Woman by tops Glamour magazine in 2010 and last week received the Style Icon Award at the Elle Style Awards in London.

Summary: Emma said of her new role, “It’s so exciting, I can’t wait to start shooting. Although I don’t wear much makeup, I’m a big fan of Lancôme products, especially their mascara.”

Emma, 20, is following in the footsteps of Julia Roberts and Anne Hathaway in representing the brand.

The young fashionista–who has appeared in several campaigns for Burberry–recently launched a fair-trade clothing collection for People Tree and said it’s something she wants to do more of.

She revealed, “I love it, and I will continue to work in the fashion industry. I am interested in ethical fashion, I want to make a difference and it’s nice to contribute.”
