“Jersey Shore” star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi struck a police car while driving in Florence, Italy, TMZ reports.
The celebrity news site said that according to a witness, Snooki hit the back of a patrol car while driving with fellow meatball, Deena Nicole Cortese, in the passenger’s seat. After the accident the car was said to have been wedged between the police car and highway protection wall, and was wedged so much that Deena could only exit the vehicle through a window.
Two police officers were taken to the emergency room for treatment of whiplash, bruises and cuts, People said. Snooki and Deena were taken down to the station to fill out a police report.
Sources connected with the production of “The Jersey Shore” told TMZ that “zero alcohol was involved.” The cast has been filming the fourth season of the MTV reality series in Florence since early May.
Just last Tuesday reports surfaced that two other cast members, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, got into some trouble of their own.
The two allegedly got into a physical altercations, and there were some photos that backed up the story.
One picture that turned up showed The Situation with a busted up face and another showed Ronnie with bloodied knuckles.
According to the rumor mill the fight was over Ronnie’s on-again-off-again girlfriend and fellow cast mate Sammi Giancola.
To say the cast of the “Shore” has been welcomed into Italy with open arms by politicians and locals would be a slight overstatement. The same day of the Ronnie/Sitch fight, Snooki and Jenni “J Woww” Farley were initially turned away from a restaurant, and the mayor of Florence Matteo Renzi has banned the cast from filming at historic landmarks or in local nightclubs, bars, or any place that promotes the consumption of alcohol.
Renzi had told several Italian newspapers that wants the show to promote Italy’s culture, traditions and good food.
We don’t think he’s going to be pleased with the results.
Summary: Jersey Shore pipsqueak Snooki (Nicole Polizzi) crashed her car into a police car while in the city of Florence Monday.
Snooki was driving a Fiat Multipla with Jersey Shore co-star Deena when the girls crashed into the back of a patrol car, sending two people, a male and a female, to the local hospital to be treated for minor injuries. Snooki’s car was wedged between the police car and a highway barrier afterward.
Although drugs and alcohol are not considered to be a factor in the crash. Despite reports that Snooki was taken into custody by Italian police, we hear this is not true, but she was questioned and may face charges at a later date.
The patrol car was there to actually assist Snooki and Deena through the city as they filmed their show.
