Summary: Direct from the Paris runway: sumptuous gold and ruby makeup shades, inspired by the beauty of Byzantine treasures.

Chanel released pics from its Byzantine-inspired pre-fall 2011 collection and the now the brand has launched a makeup collection inspired by the same theme. Chanel Byzance Collection for Fall 2011 is by far one of my favorite makeup collections for the upcoming season. The makeup shades are super glam that can accentuate any facial feature. The quartet-eyeshadow palette is my favorite because I just love the earthy tones!

Prince Albert II Married Olympic Swimmer Charlene Wittsotck Of South Africa

2 Jul

A day after their civil wedding, Prince Albert has married the former Olympic swimmer Charlene Wittstock in a Catholic ceremony in Monaco.

As Charlene Wittstock swept along the red carpet on her father’s arm. In her sumptuous boat neck gown by Giorgio Armani Prive, her hair pulled back in a swirling French twist and with only the lightest touch of makeup, she seemed to channel the effortless elegance of Grace Kelly.

But while Princess Grace turned to Hollywood’s MGM studio for her wedding gown, Princess Charlene opted for one of her longtime favorite designers, Armani, for Saturday’s wedding gown.

The “petites mains” or seamstresses of his haute couture atelier put more than 2,500 hours of work into the dress, a strong-lined, made-to-measure concoction of more than 140 yards of different silks, 40,000 Swarovski crystals and 20,000 mother of pearl beads.

The six-yard-long train. which dwarfed the demure little train at the summer’s other royal wedding (that of Britain’s Prince William and Kate Middleton), proved difficult to negotiate. At one point, Charlene got stuck and Albert had to tug at the long silk flourish to free her.

At the dinner that followed the religious service, the princess wore another Armani creation – a white silk chiffon gown with a broad neckline and embroidered four-tier train.

For Friday’s civil ceremony, the princess wore a silken blue jacket with ankle-length palazzo pants, an outfit press handlers said she designed herself and that was made by famed fashion house Chanel. For the evening’s light-and-sound show, she wore a strapless blue gown with a flowing skirt and a statement necklace.

It is reported that she will be turning to a third fashion house- Christian Dior – for the outfit she will wear to Sunday’s brunch, the last of the wedding events.

There are more and more fragrances created especially for summer, as limited summer editions. Whether these fragrances are the best solutions for summer, the market and consumers will answer. The consumers rate each fragrance by quality, longevity, uniqueness and personal inclination for designers.

It is difficult to answer this question. Summertime asks for lighter notes to refresh us and to accompany us in summer days and evenings. Relaxing notes of aromatic and citrusy compositions are an excellent choice for summer temperatures, as well as aquatic versions leaving a pleasant trace. Men can choose between aromatic, green and aquatic notes with a bit of sweetness and sexy spices.

Summary: Summer Fragrances are lighter and fresher and should be stored in a dark and cool place. Do not apply the perfume on the clothes as it may get stained. Also do not apply too much of perfume. The most popular summer perfumes are citrus based scents that chill the skin or floral perfumes which make you smell like blossomed flowers.

“Karl Lagerfeld showed me a sketch he had drawn of a girl with smoky eyes, so it was clear that we would put the focus on the eyes for this show. The inspiration for the color came from the black-white-green French garden that was recreated in the Grand Palais, from the glow that we can find in black, grey and white pearls, and the enamel that Karl integrated into the costume jewelry. I created deep, dark smoky eyes on a luminous fresh face with tinted, dewy lips. Nails were graphic and strong, and a thin black line was drawn in the hair.” – Peter Philips, Global Creative Director of CHANEL Makeup
